Airport Shenanigans

First there was the ridiculousness at security... for those of you who dont know yet, when I go through security I set off the alarmything with the amount of metal in my bra. This time, leaving DC, the supervisor ARGUED with the woman who would eventually wand me, AND the guy who's detector I had gone through. She argued for approx 10 minutes before she allowed the woman (she was perfectly nice) to wand me. Apparently it is 'impossible' for a bra to set it off, even though I was wearing : Bra, Underwear, Sweatpants, White wifebeater, and a plaid overshirt. My piercing doesn't set them off, so it HAS TO BE THE ONLY OTHER METAL ON ME.

Eventually I was freed from the ridiculousness (I was right, big surprise) , and we got on a plane that was going to Denver and then on to Seattle, and then I was going to get on a plane for TX to see my grandparents.

Only WAIT. When we got to Denver, a blizzard hit. Soooo... Myself, Si, Sam and Amy were stuck in an airport (there wasnt even any ground transport) Amy and a nice lady we met who was also going to Seattle got in line for tickets and we got them around 3am that morning, and then we passed out on mats we had gotten earlier (we had to go out of security for them and back in). Woke up 4 hours later, MAGICALLY (seriously. No fucking clue how that happened) got on the first plane headed to Seattle out of there (We were standby) and made it back to Seattle around 11. My plane to TX was to leave at 4...am. So, no Texas for me... but it worked out ok.

Got home, took a shower, passed the fuck out. Repeat for two days. I vegged, watched TV, let my brain rest. Spent time with my Daddeh (who I miss pretty much all the time).

It was, all in all, a pretty great break.

I am now back at campus, got back Sunday night and went shopping with Ari yesterday (Monday). She got... appliances. A mini grillthing, a breadmaker, a juicemaker, an electric wok, etc. I got glassware and some more plates, and some vases. And of course we got some food :D

Got back, Ari made some awesome pesto (her first time!) and we had a food partything, and then went and got Ty at the bus station. I missed him, so am glad he is back.

I have class in a few hours... apparently I missed my first class for the 2 credit one I'm taking yesterday (thank goodness Eric's in it too :P)

I expect fun tonight :D
