Was at some parts really shitty, and really freaking awesome this year. This morning my sister woke me up at 7, and I refused to actually get up so she came and woke me up an hour later. We moved out to the couch and slept a bit more, and then went and told my Dad we were awake. Then we cleaned the house more, and then FINALLY called the grandparents and my aunt to let them know they could come over. They informed us that they had started to eat breakfast and would be over in an hour. This SUCKED. And for some reason I just lost it... Not at them/on the phone, but I pretty much lost my shit. And cried. For awhile.
Sidestory/backnote: Christmas was my Mom's holiday. My Aunt has Thanksgiving, my grandma Easter, and my mom had Christmas. So... Other than the whole Christmas-is-a-time-for-family thing, it's also the time of year where, more than usual, the memories of what Christmas used to be like surface.
And then my dad came and checked on me, and convinced me to come out and we opened our stockings and found MUCH AWESOMENESS. And then the grandparents came over and HOLYSHITZPRESENTSBATMAN! It was/is awesome. Lots of stuff, goodies, whatchamicallits... Fun times.
Then food, then walkies with the Mambo, then naps, then more naps, and eventually we went over to the Grandparents and watched a DVD my dad got for Christmas. And ate pie.
Two notes: I got 2 of the same calendar... and I already had a copy of it that I had bought for myself. Is cause questions about what to do with them.
Annnnd... my most perfect present, that I spent ONLY my own money on for my dad? Yeah. He already has one stashed somewhere in the house. FML. That was a really shitty thing to discover cause I thought I had FINALLY found something for the man it is impossible to shop for, and I was really excited about it. And now, I want to cry some more.
After the grandparents we went and drove around to see the Christmas Light neighborhood, which was cool.
This has become an essay... but 'teves.
After Christmas lights, we came home and snuggled with the puppeh for awhile, and then we all kinda dispersed into the general direction of our beds.
Sisters mice gave birth, lots of birth. Christmas mice babies!
Now... one more thought dobobber to get out on the 'nebs and then I sleep.
